Senate Approves Gardner, Bennet Resolution Congratulating the Denver Broncos
WASHINGTON – The Senate approved a resolution introduced by Senators Cory Gardner (R-CO) and Michael Bennet (D-CO) to congratulate the Denver Broncos on winning Super Bowl 50. The Denver Broncos claimed their third Super Bowl title on February 7, 2016 when they beat the Carolina Panthers 24-10 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
“Congratulations to Broncos owner Pat Bowlen, General Manager John Elway, Head Coach Gary Kubiak, and the entire Broncos organization on capping off an incredible season with a Super Bowl win,” said Gardner. “The Denver Broncos made the city of Denver and all of Colorado proud, and I am thrilled the Broncos have brought back the Lombardi Trophy to Colorado. The Orange Crush era is back!”
“The Denver Broncos put on a defensive show in Super Bowl 50 that fans in Colorado and across the country will never forget,” Bennet said. “Von Miller’s MVP performance leading the defense and Peyton Manning’s steady offense helped bring home the Broncos third Lombardi Trophy. Broncos Country will revel in championship glory for quite a while…or until it’s time to get to work to defend our title.”
