Gardner Votes for Haspel: First Female CIA Director in United States History

Washington, DC – Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) released the below statement following his vote to confirm Gina Haspel as Director of the CIA:

“Gina Haspel is the right person to serve as our nation’s next Director of the CIA. She has the backing of both Republicans and Democrats in the Senate, but most importantly she has the unequivocal support from the courageous men and women that served alongside her at the CIA. Under her leadership, the CIA will continue their important work to keep our country safe.”
