Gardner Voices Support for House-Passed Families First Coronavirus Response Act

Passed Senate today, Gardner would have voted in favor

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) released the following statement regarding today’s vote on H.R. 6201, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act that comes in response to the ongoing novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

“Congress must move heaven and earth to protect American workers by providing them with immediate financial assistance and make sure workers and businesses can get through this crisis,”said Senator Gardner. “While this is not the beginning or the end of Congress’ response, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act approved by the Senate today is a great step. After following direct guidance from the Tri-County Health Department and the Attending Physician, I am in self-quarantine and therefore did not have the opportunity to vote in support of this measure. Nothing is more important to me than the safety of the American public, and I will continue working to make sure Congress provides the resources needed to help combat the spread of COVID-19.”

Senator Gardner is taking action to protect Coloradans from the COVID-19 outbreak:
