Washington, DC – Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) released the below statement today following the death of former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres:

“Former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres’ unbridled commitment to peace in the Middle East set an example for all who are committed to ending conflict in the region. He was a true leader who strived to find solutions to some of the world’s most complex problems, and was awarded a well-deserved Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts. I join the Peres family and all Israelis today as they mourn the passing of one of Israel’s greatest leaders.”
