Gardner Statement on New Iran Sanctions

Washington, D.C. – Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO), a senior member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, released the following statement today after President Trump signed an executive order imposing additional economic sanctions against Iran. 

“I welcome today’s announcement of new sanctions against Iran, and unless Tehran ends its support for terrorism, we should continue the maximum pressure campaign,” said Sen. Gardner. “The mullahs must know they cannot threaten the United States and our allies.”
