Gardner Statement on Colorado Attorney General’s Office Dropping Merger Lawsuit

Washington, D.C. – Today U.S. Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) released the following statement on the Colorado Attorney General office’s announcement regarding the possible T-Mobile and Sprint merger:

“I’m glad the Colorado Attorney General’s office has decided to join me in supporting this merger,” said Senator Gardner. “I’ve been championing support for this merger at the federal level because Colorado would be home to the nation’s 4th major wireless carrier – bringing thousands more jobs to our state. DISH is ready to build a nationwide network and I will continue to support a successful merger.”

Gardner issued a statement in July praising the settlement by the Department of Justice with T-Mobile and Sprint in their proposed merger.

Cory Gardner is a member of the U.S. Senate serving Colorado. He sits on the Energy & Natural Resources Committee, the Foreign Relations Committee, the Commerce, Science, & Transportation Committee, and is the Chairman of the Subcommittee on East Asia, the Pacific, and International Cybersecurity Policy.
