Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) released the following statement after he voted to confirm Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court:

“I am confident that Justice Amy Coney Barrett will protect the Constitution, uphold the rule of law, and refuse to legislate from the bench,” said Senator Gardner. “Today I was proud to vote to confirm this exceptionally qualified jurist who respects the proper role of the Judiciary, and I look forward to her service to our country on the U.S. Supreme Court.”

Gardner met with Judge Barrett last month where they discussed the proper role of the Judiciary, her record as a federal appellate judge, and her extensive academic work.
