Gardner Meets with Wilbur Ross, Intended Commerce Secretary Nominee
Washington, DC – U.S. Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO), a member of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, today met with Wilbur Ross, President-elect Trump’s intended nominee for Secretary of the U.S. Department of Commerce.
“I had a productive meeting with Mr. Ross today and discussed how best to provide all Americans with the opportunity to succeed. We spoke about how important strong trade relationships and rural economic development are to communities in Colorado and across the country, and I hope we can work together to advance policies that bring relief to rural America,” said Gardner. “Mr. Ross understands how to grow our economy and workforce, and I look forward to having the opportunity to support him as he leads America’s economic resurgence.”
