Gardner: “It’s Time to Fix our Tax Code”

Washington, D.C. – Senator Gardner (R-CO) released the following statement regarding House and Senate Republicans releasing their outline for tax reform on Wednesday. Our nation’s tax code has not been overhauled since 1986. The outline will serve as a blueprint as the House and Senate begin bipartisan hearings on reforming our tax code.

“Too many Colorado families have felt like they can’t get ahead over the last few years, and providing tax relief for hardworking families will jump-start the economy and put more money in their pockets,” said Gardner. “The outline released today will serve as a blueprint for the House and Senate as they begin their bipartisan hearings on how we can best fix our confusing and oversized tax code. As talks continue, I’ll make sure that the priorities and interests of Coloradans are front and center."

Cory Gardner is a member of the U.S. Senate serving Colorado.
