Gardner Applauds Russia Sanctions Being Signed Into Law

Washington, D.C. – Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) today released the below statement following sanctions against Russia being signed into law by the President on Wednesday:

“I commend the President for signing this important legislation, which is a strong response against Russia for their influence campaign during the 2016 election and destabilizing actions around the world,” said Gardner.  “Vladimir Putin is a thug and these bipartisan sanctions will hold his government accountable for their nefarious activities.”

Also signed into law were sanctions against Iran and North Korea. See Gardner’s statement on the full sanctions package here.
