Gardner Applauds Nomination of Jason Dunn for United States Attorney for the District of Colorado

Washington, DC – Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) released the following statement regarding President Trump nominating Jason Dunn for United States Attorney for the District of Colorado:

“I’ve known Jason for many years, and I am confident that he will make an excellent United States Attorney for the District of Colorado,” said Gardner. “Jason has a proven record of public service and involvement in his community, and he has the integrity and character that will make Colorado proud. I will urge my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to support his confirmation.” 

Background on Jason Dunn Provided by the White House

Jason Dunn is currently a shareholder at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP, where he chairs the firm’s Political and Regulatory Law Practice Group and its State Attorneys General Practice Group.  His legal practice focuses on regulatory and consumer protection investigations, constitutional and election law, and appeals. He has argued numerous cases in the Colorado Supreme Court and the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Dunn previously served as Deputy Attorney General under Colorado Attorney General John Suthers, helping manage an office of over 250 lawyers and shaping Colorado’s legal strategy in national and state litigation.  Following law school, Mr. Dunn clerked for Justice (now Chief Justice) Nathan Coats of the Colorado Supreme Court.  Mr. Dunn is a native of Colorado, and earned his B.S., M.P.A., and J.D. from the University of Colorado.  


Cory Gardner is a member of the U.S. Senate serving Colorado. He sits on the Energy & Natural Resources Committee, the Foreign Relations Committee, the Commerce, Science, & Transportation Committee, and the Budget Committee, and is the Chairman of the Subcommittee on East Asia, the Pacific, and International Cybersecurity Policy.
