2018 Air Force Spouse of the Year will accompany Gardner to the annual address

Washington, D.C.  U.S. Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) released the following statement after announcing Kristen Christy of Colorado Springs as his guest for the State of the Union Address:

Through her strength and commitment to military families, Kristen has become an inspiring suicide prevention advocate and guiding light for the Air Force and entire military community as she helps others transition from post-traumatic stress to post-traumatic growth. Her resilience, courage, and her never-quit attitude exemplify the best of the American spirit, and it’s fitting that someone with her inspirational and moving story will be in the room as the president highlights the progress and opportunities for our great country.”
