Gardner Announces $51,000 Grant to Benefit Ute Mountain Ute Tribe
Washington, DC – Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) announced today the Economic Development Administration (EDA) awarded the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe $51,000 to develop and implement a comprehensive economic development strategy for the Tribe’s region, which includes Montezuma County, Colorado.
“I welcome the news the Ute Mountain Utes will receive a $51,000 Economic Development Administration (EDA) grant,” said Gardner. “This is an excellent example of the federal government working with tribal communities to enhance economic development. I’m pleased the EDA recognizes the important contributions of the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe and continues to support its efforts. I remain committed to advocating on behalf of Colorado’s tribes at the federal level and will work toward ensuring they receive the resources they deserve.”
