Gardner Announces $24.8 Million in HUD Grants for Colorado to Respond to COVID-19

Washington, D.C. – Today U.S. Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) announced that the state of Colorado will receive a combined total of $24,860,445 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“All four corners of Colorado are hurting right now as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and we must ensure Coloradans across our state have the resources they need to respond to this virus,” said Senator Gardner. “I’m proud to have helped secure this important funding for Colorado, and I will continue fighting to provide the resources needed so that we can get through this crisis together.”

This funding is the third and final tranche of CDBG funding provided by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act in addition to the $12.7 million Colorado received from HUD in May and the $34 million Colorado received from HUD in April.
