Gardner Announces $10 Million Flood Recovery Grant
Washington, D.C. – Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) announced today that Colorado has received a $10 million grant from the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). This award provides federal funding to Colorado DHS and Emergency Management to aid recovery efforts from Colorado’s 2013 floods.
“This award will help in the ongoing effort to rebuild after the devastating floods of 2013,” Gardner said. “Colorado taxpayers fund FEMA every year with their hard-earned dollars, and I’m glad that FEMA has recognized that it owes Colorado flood victims their full support. Funding, of course, will never bring back all that we lost in those floods. But Colorado is rebuilding and recovering, and grants like the one announced today will aid in that effort.”
